Article 1: Opening Hours and Reception Hours

After-Hours Service
Kimono dressing or returns after 5:00 PM must be arranged in advance. Additional fees may apply.

Article 2
Return Options & Deadlines

① Same-Day Return (Standard)
• Please return all rental items by 5:00 PM on the same day.

• If you plan to attend an evening event such as a festival or fireworks display, please choose the Next-Business-Day Return or Return by Delivery option in advance.
② Next-Business-Day Return
• Please return all rental items by 11:00 AM on the next business day.

• A late fee will be charged for every 30 minutes after the return deadline.

• Please request this option before your rental date.

* An additional fee applies for the Next-Business-Day Return option.
Please ask our staff for the current price.
③ Return by Delivery
• The postmark date on the return deadline will be accepted as the return date.

• Shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.

• Please use a trackable delivery service.

* Yumeoriyakata is not responsible for any loss or damage during shipping.

* Please make sure to use a shipping service with tracking.

* If the return is late, an additional late fee of 20% of the rental fee will be charged per day.

Article 3

Rental Insurance

Rental Insurance is an optional service that helps protect you against accidental damage or stains during normal use.

You can add this option at the reception desk on the day of your visit.

Covered by Rental Insurance
(No Additional Charge)
• Food and drink stains

• Dirt or mud stains caused during sightseeing

• Natural wear or loose stitching that occurs during normal use
Not Covered by Rental Insurance
• Loss or theft of accessories
(hair ornaments, fans, sandals, tabi socks, obi belts, etc.)

• Holes, burns, or large tears caused by cigarettes, fire, or sharp objects

• Perfume applied directly to the kimono resulting in permanent stains
that cannot be removed by normal cleaning

• Serious damage caused by pets or accidents
(such as dragging the kimono on the ground or damage caused by vehicles)

Even if you purchase Rental Insurance, the above cases are not covered and the actual repair or replacement cost may be charged.

If you are unsure whether a particular situation is covered, please ask our staff before your rental.

Article 4

Important Notes During Rental & Return

If Your Kimono Gets Dirty
• Please do NOT wash the kimono or use detergent yourself.
Doing so may cause the fabric to shrink or make stains worse.

• If something is spilled on the kimono, gently blot the area with a dry tissue or soft cloth.

• When returning the kimono, please let our staff know what was spilled and where it happened.

• Reporting the damage honestly may help reduce repair costs.
During Your Rental
• Please do not spray perfume or deodorant directly onto the kimono or yukata.

• Please take good care of accessories such as hair ornaments, sandals, fans, and obi accessories.
Lost items are not covered by Rental Insurance.

• Please keep the kimono away from fire, cigarettes, fireworks, and other heat sources.
Before Returning
• Please check that all rental items are included before returning them.

• If you notice any stains, damage, or missing items, please inform our staff when you return.

If your ceremony or event is canceled, please let us know and provide proof of the cancellation.
We will review your request on a case-by-case basis.

If you need to cancel due to bad weather or illness, the cancellation policy above will apply.
However, if rescheduling is available, we will do our best to accommodate your new preferred date.

Article 7

Dressing Service for Your Own Kimono or Yukata

We are happy to provide a dressing service for your own kimono or yukata.

The dressing fee varies depending on the type and condition of your garment.
Please ask our staff for details at the reception desk.

Yumeoriyakata is not responsible for any damage to garments brought by customers.

Your kimono or yukata will be inspected together with you before we accept it for dressing.

Please prepare all necessary accessories, such as an obi belt, obi-jime, and nagajuban (kimono undergarment).

If any required items are missing, rental items may be available for an additional charge.
